"I would recommend this course because it makes you think about your own reactions to the life’s problems, particularly putting minor things into perspective.

I was aware that I was finding life stressful and sometimes concerned about the effect on me. I had hoped, having recently retired, that this situation would have improved. It has made me less critical of myself and more accepting of times when things are not going well. I now try to focus on being kinder to myself and be more aware of the good things and people around me.

The sessions themselves were relaxing and empowering. I was largely able to forget about the outside world.

The atmosphere within the group was right and so much of that is down to Joy, John and their canine sidekick. It was okay to say just what you felt/experienced, everyone listened, no-one sought to dominate. It was essentially collaborative, absolutely not competitive."
