John Nolan

John is a friendly, knowledgeable and compassionate professional who’s been working in private practice as a coach, therapist and trainer since 1995. He originally qualified in NLP and Hypnosis. Today he uses Havening alongside NLP, Mindfulness and Act (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). This combination of therapy, coaching and education enables him to equip his clients to be well resourced and independent. His intention is to keep client sessions as light and fun as possible no matter how dark the subject.

Alongside his own private practice he’s received a long service award for his role as a listener at Samaritans and has been on the training team for the volunteers.

He’s always enjoyed learning his skills from the best in the world at what they do. He’s also achieved this with Havening as his first London training was in 2014 with Dr. Ronald Ruden, Dr Steven J Ruden, Paul McKenna and a host of other leading UK trainers.

Mindfulness has been part of John’s life for many years, both for his own use and for helping his clients. One of the many areas John has trained in is the Zenways meditation methods. This is on top of other mindfulness trainings including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).

John’s specialty is helping people overcome adversity so they can live a satisfying and meaningful life. His own experience with blindness has taught him that there’s always something skillful and creative you can do to help improve a difficult situation – however hopeless it seems.
